 Mary Bridge Donations

The 10th annual Bob Mickelsen Memorial tournament is scheduled for Saturday, October 23 at Lake Washington.  This tournament benefits the children of Mary Bridge Children's Hospital.  Club members are encouraged to solicit donations for Mary Bridge from local merchants and associates.  A pledge letter is on the web site.

Washington Tournament

The last club tournament of the year is October 24th on Lake Washington.  Non boaters should be working on finding a back seat for this tournament.  This is the last opportunity to make the top 10 and be a member of the 2005 club state team.

        Crow Butte

We had 19 club members fish Crow Butte.  The weather was a bit cool and the winds blew dangerously hard on Saturday but there were no on the water mishaps.  Congratulations to Doug Jorgensen for first place with 16.87 pounds and the big fish of the year at 6.91 pounds.  Tom Melowitz was second with 16.84 pounds and Ken Ganancial was third with 16.74 pounds.  The difference of only .1 pounds between first and third made this the closest tournament in club history.  Complete results are on the club Web site.  Saturday night featured a club sponsored cook out with burgers, dogs, chili and beans.  Many thanks to Marv Walker for buying everything from COSTCO and also to the cooks, and chili and bean chefs for a job well done!

 Mickelsen Preparation

The Flyer for the 2004 Bob  Mickelsen tournament has been completed and copies are being made for distribution to local businesses.  If you are not fishing the tournament and can work please see Larry Williams or Doug Jorgensen.

      Roosevelt Results

We had 18 club members fish the Lake Roosevelt tournament in August with temperatures rising in the 100's on both tournament days. Complete tournament results are on the club's web site.  Congratulations to Tom Melowitz for first place with 17.48 pounds, Ryan Gates for second with 15.98 pounds and Ken Ganancial for third place with 12.98 pounds.  This was Ryan's first time in the top three at a club tournament.   Pictured above is John Davis with the big fish, a 4.03 smallie.  Pictured below is Rick Knauer with 2 fish from his 10 fish, 2 day limit, of 9.45 pounds.  The lowest on record for a club tournament ( it did include dead fish penalties).
