November 8, 2006 Meeting Minutes

  

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm and adjourned at 8:45 pm.  No one claimed the big fish pot.  Special guests were perspective new members: Daniel Thomas, Mark Willis and Emanual Gonzalez.  Gerald Dunn will be stepping down as president for a career opportunity in Portland.  Chuck Warner will be stepping up as the new President.

Program Activity:  There was no program activity.

Tips, Tactics and Techniques: Nothing. Rob Towers is still on for January.

Banquet Report:  Mack Randle talked about the 2006 club banquet time and place.

Raffle: The raffle generated $52. 

Treasurerís Report:  Stephanie Strasbaugh a balance of $4994.15 with club trophies and Mary Bridge
still outstanding.

Minutes: 
The October minutes as posted on the Internet were approved.

Conservation Report:  No Report

Federation Report: Larry Williams talked about how the Federation is looking for volunteers for writing the news letter, conservation director, Cast for Kids and TBF Western Divisionals.

The below items are to either be passed or failed on a line by line basis.

1. The Qualifier Series will consist of three (3) one day events. ( To be held on Saturday's)
 2. These events would be boater / non-boater events.
3. For 2007 the waters to be fished would be:   
       a. Lake Chelan (Chelan) in June.
       b. Lower Columbia River (Kalama) in July.                 (All tentative dates and locations)   
       c. Long Lake (Spokane) in August.
 4. All qualifier tournaments would still be held as draw events with anglers being paired randomly from different clubs. 
  5. Buy in's pay double and only compete for a team spot. Not eligible for any grand prize.

Marv Walker talked about his fun experiences with volunteering for the Cast for Kids.

June 2-3 2007 Lake Washington the Seattle Seahawks are putting on a charity bass tournament to benefit Cast for kids. Go to www.castforkids.org for more information.


Tournament Report: 
 
Larry Williams talked about the Michelson Open won by  Joe Scheperle and Art Soto.  He also talked about the club tournament on Lake Washington won by James Herring.  Kenny Ganancial is the 2006 Angler of the Year 

Fishing Report:  No Report

Safety: Doug Jorgensen talked about the difference of inflatables versus conventional life jackets and using them properly.  Practice wearing your life vest at all times during the cold season.

Old Business: 
Ken G. is Daniel's buddy, Chuck W. is Mark's buddy and Frank W. is Emanual's buddy. Tom M. would like to make a motion to appoint a vice President. February's meeting falls on Valentines Day and the club voted to hold the meeting on February 7th.

New Business:  There will be a $10 late fee for those of you who haven't paid there dues.
