November 9, 2005 Meeting Minutes

  

The meeting was called to order at 7:05 pm and adjourned at 8:30 pm.  No one claimed the big fish pot which has now reached a whooping $12.   Colleen White came in to arrange the Banquet.  

Program Activity:  There was no program activity.

Tips, Tactics and Techniques: Paul Jones talked about the BIG FISH pot. The buy in is only $10 and if the participation doesn't increase he will discontinue the program.  Paul also talked about getting out there and supporting our sponsors. Hoss is on for January.

Banquet Report:  Colleen White came in and presented the club with restaurant options. The club chose Trattoria Grazie for Friday the 9th at 6:00pm. Trattoria Grazie 2301 N 30th St Tacoma 98403.The dinner will be around $30 per person.  Please contact Frank White ASAP if you weren't at the meeting and will be attending the banquet.

Raffle: The raffle generated $34.  We need new items for 2006.

Treasurerís Report:  Mike Buse reported a balance of $1,446.79 with no outstanding bills.


Minutes: 
The October minutes as posted on the Internet were approved.

Conservation Report:  Larry Guck has resigned as conservation chairman.  Larry Williams declined Doug Jorgensen's nomination.  Frank White nominated Wes Williams.  Larry Williams nominated Kenny G who declined.   Marv Walker volunteered to be the new conservation chairman.

Federation Report: None

Tournament Report:  Larry Williams filled in for Tom Melowitz.  Larry announced that Doug Jorgensen is the 2005 Angler Of The Year.  He also mentioned that Mike Hostetter took 1st at the Lake Washington club tournament.  Doug Jorgensen took 2nd and Jaymee Strasbaugh took 3rd.  Good job to Mike Buse and Kenny G. for taking 2nd place and Josh Brannon's 6.18# smallie caught at the 11th annual Bob Mickelsen Memorial Team Bass Tournament.  Larry also announced the 2006 tournament schedule as follows.

Fishing Report:  Larry Williams talked about the frost bite tournament and how he missed the big fish by a few ounces.

Safety: No Report

Old Business: We raised $2170 plus a lot of toys for the Mary Bridge Children's Hospital.

New Business:  Stephanie Strasbaugh will invite 2 sponsors to the Banquet.
