May 13, 2009 Meeting Minutes
 


The meeting was called to order at 7:06 PM and adjourned at 9:00 PM.  No one claimed the big fish report.  The Special guest Kevin Jorgensen, a perspective new member.

Program Activity:  
None

Tips, Tactics and Techniques:  Joe Scheperle talked about plastic rod covers made from blub plastic with the seems bonded using a soldering iron.  He also talked about bait casting reel modifications and fishing crank baits.  Kenny G talked about his techniques for catching bedding bass.  Frank White and Larry Williams will provide Tips, Tactics and Techniques for June.

Raffle:  The club made $69 from the raffle.

Treasurerís Report:  Stephanie Strasbaugh
reported a balance of $2643.93 and a additional $1500 set aside for the  state team entry fees.

Minutes:  The minutes from April were accepted as posted on the Internet.

Banquet Report:   No report.

Conservation Report:   Tom Melowitz is working with the Tribal Representatives for a potential conservation project to mark the off limits water on Roosevelt.

Safety:  Doug Jorgensen talked about a Utube bass boat crash.

Federation Report:  No Report

Tournament Report:  Hoss talked about the off limits at Roosevelt and went over the top 5 finishers from Roosevelt.  Tom Melowitz talked about the water levels at Roosevelt and how he caught the winning fish on Roosevelt.  The club voted to have the June tournament on Whatcom as planned.  See the Web Site for more details. 

Fishing Report:  Frank White talked about Largemouth fishing with Kenny G and Ron Ryan.

Old Business: No Old Business

New Business:  You can go to www.sufix.com/usa to download a cash back coupon good for your next purchase of Sufix line.  Joe Scheperle is working on club jackets.  See Joe if your interested.  Larry Williams made a motion to change the tournament rules.  The proposed change will be voted upon at the June meeting.  Mark Robinson was voted in as a regular member.  Tom Melowitz asked about the Mary Bridge contributions from the Mickelsen tournament.  Larry Williams and Tom will check out the payaout matrix and report back in June.

Klutz nominations:  Mike Peters, who didn't attend the meeting, was nominated for allowing  Kenny G's boat to float out to sea at the Roosevelt weigh in.
