June 8, 2005 Meeting Minutes



The meeting was called to order at 7:07 PM and adjourned at 8:25 PM.  No one claimed the big fish pot.  The special guests was  Richard Spencer who later in the meeting joined the club.

Program Activity:  

Tips, Tactics and Techniques: Chuck Warner discussed the Federation Awards Banquet.  He discussed  B.A.S.S.ís new policies on netting fish.  Donít let the fish bounce around on the boat.  He also discussed the loss of oxygen when weighing the fish.

Raffle:  The club made $61 from the raffle.

Treasurerís Report: 
Mike Buse reported a balance of $1820.08.

Minutes:  The minutes from May were accepted as posted on the Internet.

Banquet Report:   No report.

Conservation Report:   Larry Guck talked about the June 18th and June 25th fish habitat building projects at Pot Holes.

Safety:   No alcohol in your boat during a tournament.

Federation Report:  Jamie Wegmann indicated that our September Potholes tournament will conflict with the Federation Meeting. If you have any ideas regarding a new format for Federation Qualifiers send the ideas to the Federation directly.

Tournament Report: Larry discussed the Silver Lake tournament.  Results are posted on the internet.  The tournament hours  are 5:30 to 3 on Saturday and  5:30 to 1:00 pm on Sunday for Boyer Park.  The club took 4th place at the Jamboree.  The hours for Tri-Cities  are 5:00 am to 3pm on Saturday and 5:00 am to 1 pm on Sunday.  The club will be launching out of Columbia Point Marina at Tri-Cities.

Fishing Reports: 
Tom Melowitz talked about the fishing at Boyer Park.

Old Business: 
The club voted on Dougís proposal for changing the points system.  The motion failed 15-8 in favor (must have 2/3 in favor).  Gerald discussed helping everybody get launched so we can all go on time.

New Business:  Bryan Vance is Richard Spenser's buddy.
