Meeting called to order by Mark Mrzena at 7:11.  No one claimed the big fish pot.

Special Guests:  Chad Ashbaugh, Russ Baker and returning member Larry Williams.

Fishing Report: Tom said the smallies were still spawning on the south end of Banks Lake.   Seikiu Salmon fishing is good.  Lake Washington is getting into the summer pattern.

Program activities: Larry Williams and Russ Baker talked about Big Bass Tournaments and the results from the Potholes Big Bass Tournament.

Tips/Tactics and Techniques:  Tim Griswold  talked about trailer maintenance.

Treasurer's Report:  Kila Higgins added her report via email:
                                       Checking   $343.00
                                       Saving       $949.82
                                       Total:         $1,292.82

With the Riffe tournament right around the corner I expect the club will start to recoup the money floated for the seven remaining camp sites.  As of 7/10/14  only Mark, Tim G. and Kevin have the sites paid for. All three are powered units meaning there are only two left with power, five without.  At $50.00 per site, this will bring in $350.00.

Conservation Report: July 19th is take a Warrior Fishing on American Lake from 6am until noon.  Boats are needed.

Meeting Minutes:  The June minutes as posted on the internet were approved.

Tournament Report: Hoss talked about how he won the Lake Washington tournament.  See the
Lake Washington Interviews.  The next tournament is Riffe Lake.  Talk to Kila Higgins to get a campsite.  Hours and Launch info for Riffe.

Safety Report: Watch out for other boats.  Lots of accidents lately.

Federation Report:  Doug talked about Lake Washington Federation Qualifier results and standings after two Qualifiers.  Dez and Bob Steiner are working on finding a location for the November Federation Banquet.  No location had been selected as of this meeting.

New Business:  There was significant discussion on how to increase participation at club meetings and other club events.  Ideas like: removing politics, keep it fun, focus on fishing, comradre, officers meeting in advance of meetings, and many others were all brought up.   It's up to the club officers to take the next step on this issue.

Old Business:  Doug brought up a proposed change for the Big Fish Pot.  He proposed making it annual to include club tournaments only.  This was generally supported by the members present.  Doug will present the proposed change at the next meeting.

Klutz:  Tom Melowitz was nominated for hitting a rock pile at the Jamboree.  Ty Watterson was nominated for throwing a fish away with the cull pin still attached at Lake Tapps.  Russ Baker was nominated for running out of gas at the Jamboree.
