July 8, 2009 Meeting Minutes

The meeting Started at 7:10 and adjourned at 7:55.  Bob Graff held the meeting is Gerald Dunn’s absence. There were no special guests. 

Program Activity:   None

Tips, Tactics and Techniques:  Bob Graff talked about using a Parasite worm weight for pegging his weight to the bait. Wrapping Senkos mid body using duct tape to increase the life of the bait when wacky rigging. He also put on a demonstration on how well his side cutters cut hooks. Hoss talked about how he finished 3^rd at the Banks Lake Federation Qualifier.  Mike Buse and Chris Ferry are on for August.

Raffle:  The raffle generated $71.

Treasurer’s Report:  Stephanie Strasbaugh reported a balance of$1102.93.

Minutes:  The June minutes as posted on the Internet were accepted.

Banquet Report:   No report

Conservation Report: Bob Graff talked about setting up fishing line recycling bins at local boat ramps and maintaining the bins. He will look into it a little more and present it to the club.

Federation Report:   No report

Tournament Report:  Hoss went over the Moses Lake schedule. He also went over the Lake Whatcom top 5 finishers with Kenny G taking 1^st. Emmanuel told us how he caught big fish at the Whatcom tournament.

Fishing Report:  Bob Graff talked about how he was catching good fish out of Lake Tanwax.

Old Business:  No Old Business

New Business:  a) Ron Ryan’s brother in-law would like to be a sponsor at the Mickelson Open. b) Frank White handed out cards with our NAPA auto parts discount number for the club members.  c) Ron Ryan made a motion to change Riffe Lake to a 2 day tournament and majority voted against Ron’s motion.

Klutz Nominations:  Kevin Higgins nominated Tim for hitting him in the back of the head with a drop shot weight.
