July 11, 2001 Meeting Minutes


The meeting began at 7:03 PM and adjourned at 8:25 PM.   No one claimed the Big Fish Pot.    Eric Woods' girl friend attended.

Program Activity:  
None

Raffle:  The raffle generated $85.

Treasurerís Report:  Ken Ganancial reported a balance of $1,176.67.

Minutes:  The June minutes as posted on the Internet were accepted.

Banquet Report:   A banquet sign up list was passed around.  The banquet will again be at Bar-B-Que Pete's in Tacoma.  There will be a sign in sheet at the door.  Dinner fees will be payable in advance this year.  The club voted to place 4 banquet dinner tickets in the club raffle.

Conservation Report: No report.

Federation Report:   Steve Holets read a letter from Steve Jackson clarifying the potential changes to the permit system.  The proposed changes will ensure that no one has more than 7 permits.   Public discussion on this issue will be November 9 and 10 in Olympia.

Tournament Report:  The Pend Oreille River results are on the Internet.  Steve Holets explained how he won the Pend Oreille River club tournament.  Water levels at the Vantage state park are fine.  Consequently, the September Vantage club tournament is back on.  Hours for Moses Lake are 6-3 and 6-1 for Saturday and Sunday.  The drivers meeting will be at 5:30 am on Saturday.

Mary Bridge Donations:   Each member should try to get 1 donation.  Tom will bring flyers to the next meeting.

Safety: Please bring in a copy of your boating safety certificate and to give it to the secretary at the next meeting. These copies will be kept on file with the club.  Doug has additional copies of the safety books.

Old Business:  Gerald Dunn reported that club hats are $8 and shirts $26-$28.  The club voted to buy 48 hats and sell them at $2 over cost.  Ken Ganancial will go with Richard Bohart to pick out the hats.  A shirt sign up sheet was distributed.  Monies for the shirts will be payable at the August club meeting.

New Business:  John Davis was voted in as a full member.  Art Soto explained his position at the Jamboree and the requirements for membership were reviewed.

Klutz Nominations:  Steve Holets for breaking Rob McFarland's trailer tail light at Pend Oreille.
