January 11, 2006 Meeting Minutes


The meeting was called to order at 7:05 pm and adjourned at 8:07 pm.  Chris Ferry claimed the  big fish pot with a 5 pound 11 ounce smallie from Lake Washington.   Special guests were Ed Griffith, Glen Baker and John Simpson who sat in on the meeting.

Program Activity:  Frank White rescheduled for February.

Tips, Tactics and Techniques: Nothing for January.

Banquet Report:  The banquet committee will be chosen next month.

Raffle:  No raffle.  We need new items for 2006.

Treasurerís Report:  
Mike Buse reported a balance of $390.72 in the bank and approximately $300 due for the trophies.   We had some club members pay their dues at the meeting.

The November minutes as posted on the Internet were approved.

Conservation Report:  Marv Walker talked about scheduling June to build habitat pens for the Potholes Reservoir. The club asked  Marv to look into other projects as well.

Federation Report: Chuck Warner talked about the B.A.S.S. Federation controversy.   A majority of the clubs in Washington voted to withdraw from B.A.S.S.  For more update information, log onto bassfan.com.

Tournament Report:  Be sure to make your hospitality reservations for the 2006 tournament schedule before it's to late.

Fishing Report:  Chris Ferry said that he was " catching them in 35' " on Lake Washington.  

Safety: No Report

Old Business: Stephanie needs to get started on accumulating raffle items for the Lake Sammamish Open on April 1st.

Klutz Nominations:  None

New Business: We talked about reserving the banquet earlier in the year to eliminate last minute changes as well as prepaying.  Doug Jorgenson mentioned that you can purchase an annual launch permit for $60 at Renton Parks Dept. 1715 Maple Valley Hwy. This will buy you a 2006 parking/launch permit for Coulon Park.  Bring a copy of your boat/trailer and truck (tow rig) registration.
