Doug proposed 3 new
amendments to be voted on at the next
meeting. They are pertaining to:
1. Making 2 club tournaments
each year a "draw" tournament.
2. Adding a "rookie of the
year" award to the annual awards.
3. Making the jamboree a club
tournament and awarding points towards
angler of the year.
We concluded the meeting at
8:45 with the raffle.
Doug Jorgensen later sent in the exact
wording for the proposed changes
Add to tournament rules:
At least two club tournaments per year
will be a draw tournament. The draw
tournament(s) will be a team format.
Both anglers will fish as a team for a
total of one five fish limit. The team
will share the weight and tournament
points (i.e. first place will award both
anglers 50 points). All club members
must enter the draw that will take place
at the club meeting prior to the
tournament if they want to fish. If you
cannot attend the club meeting,
notification that you intend to fish as
a boater or non-boater must be made to a
member who will be attending the club
meeting. If you fail to enter the draw,
you will not be allowed to fish in a
team format. You may fish solo. If you
enter the draw and a club member is not
selected to fish with you, you may pick
a person of your choice to fish with you
(not a club member) in a team format.
You may fish with a family member in a
team format during any draw tournament.
Amendment to Club Awards:
Add an award for Rookie of the Year
The Rookie of the Year will be awarded
to a club member who fishes a minimum of
5 tournaments and accumulates highest 5
tournament points. The club member must
have never fished 5 tournaments in any
prior year. If no members are eligible,
then no award will be made. All ties
will be decided as per club tournament
