February 13, 2002 Meeting Minutes
The meeting was called to order at 7:08
pm and adjourned at 9:19 pm. No one claimed the big fish pot.
Special guest were Chris Davidson and Mike McDonnell.
Program Activity: Mike McDonnell talked about Senko fishing (color selection, and presentation). Pre-spawn use big Senkos, and post-spawn use small Senkos. He also talked about rod selection and the new ABA rules on trolling ( bigbasswa.com).
Raffle: Frank White handled the raffle.
Treasurerís Report: Ken Ganancial reported a balance of $990.12.
The January minutes were accepted as posted on the website.
Conservation Report: No report.
Federation Report: Nothing until March.
Tournament Report: Richard Bohart (both), Larry Guck (both), Bob Massett (both), Lyle Bowman (a.m.), Ron Bess (both), Chuck Warner (both), and Eric Woods (both) Volunteered to help with the Lake Sammamish Open.
After discussion Lyle Bowman made a motion to move the April 27th Lake Washington tournament to April 28th. The motion passed 11 - 5.
Safety: Please bring in a copy of your boating safety certificate and to
give it to the secretary at the next meeting. These copies will be kept on file
with the club.
Old Business: The Jig pour will be at Kenny G's work at 10 a.m. Hats have arrived and will be sold for $12.00 each to club members.
New Business: The club discussed item #6 in the Tournament Rules: changing the Golden Rule to read a flat board. We also talked about item #7, which is giving the Federation Representative 50 points when attending a meeting when there is a tournament. We will vote on these amendments in March.
President's Message: The minimum requirements were not met by a few
in 2001. More support must be offered by the members of the club, not just the
same people every year.
Klutz nominations: Mike Hostetter for pulling the live well line and filling his boat with water.
