December 10 2008 Meeting Minutes



The meeting began at 7:10 PM and adjourned at 8:30 PM.  No one claimed the Big Fish Pot.  Ryan Gates was a special guest.

Program Activity:   Nothing but Chris Ferry is working on something.

Tips, Tactics and Techniques:  George Beegle talked about back seat etiquette and other back seat tips he learned from fishing FLW.  Mike Buse talked about strategically buying tackle so as to not overload your boat with tackle that will not be used.  Keep it simple.  Buy the tackle you need and have confidence in the tackle you buy.  Don't buy tackle you see in magazines and commercials just because you see it there.  Daniel Thomas and Rob Towers are on for February.

Raffle:  No raffle.


Treasurerís Report:  Stephanie reported a balance of $3084.55 with year end trophies and the Mary Bridge contribution still outstanding.

Minutes:  The minutes as posted on the Internet were approved.

Banquet Report: The deadline for purchasing tickets from Hoss for the 2008 Awards Banquet 1s 1/10/9.  See the Web site for Banquet details.

Conservation Report: Chris Ferry is taking over Conservation.

Safety:  Nothing

Federation Report:  Nothing to report at this time..  The next Federation meeting is in March.

Tournament Report: Nothing.

Fishing Report:  Smallies are being caught in 50 feet!

Old Business:  The schedule for working the Federation Booth at the Puyallup Fair is:
                         1/22 - noon to 4 pm:  Bob Graf, Gerald Dunn and Michael Coffey
                         1/22 - 4pm tp 8 pm:   Gerald Dunn, Emanual Gonzalez, Jaymee Strasbaugh and George Beegle
                         1/25 - 10am to 4 pm:  Gerald Dunn, Mike Hogan and Ryan Gates
