August 10, 2005 Meeting Minutes


The meeting was called to order at 7:10  PM and adjourned at 8:45 PM.   No one claimed the big fish pot.

Program Activity:  None

Tips, Tactics and Techniques:  Rick Muir talked about fishing tubes.

Raffle: The raffle  generated $56.

Treasurer’s Report: 
Mike Buse reported a balance of $1943.08.

Minutes:  The minutes from July were accepted as posted on the Internet.

Banquet Report:   None

Conservation Report:  Larry Williams commented on the Banks Lake largemouth guidelines.

Safety:   No report.

Federation Report:  Jamie Wegmann: discussed the proposed changes to the  Federation Tournaments regarding the format for 2006. There will be further discussion at the September Federation meeting.   Tom made a motion that the club makes a motion to the Federation to move the format back to the original format (three 2-day tournaments based on  a team format).   Congratulations to Tom Melowitz for finishing  11th in the state.  He will fish the Western Divisional next May at Lake Lowell in Idaho.

Tournament Report:   We will be launching from Kalama for the August 20-21 club tournament.  The drivers meeting will be at 5:00 am Saturday.  Tournament hours will be 6:00 am until 3:00 pm for both Saturday and Sunday.   You will need an Oregon license if fishing in Oregon waters.
