August 13, 2003 Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 7:00  PM and adjourned at 8:30 PM.  There were no special guests.  Rob Towers claimed the big fish pot with a 5.87 Largemouth caught during the Scootney tournament.

Program Activity:  None

Tips, Tactics and Techniques:  Larry Guck discussed how to contact manufacturers and obtain new products for testing.

Raffle: There was no raffle.

Treasurerís Report: 
Mike Buse reported a balance of $936.06 with no expenses due until Lake Washington.

Minutes:  The minutes from July were accepted as posted on the Internet.

Banquet Report:   No report.

Conservation Report:  The barge for Banks Lake is in operation.  Larry Guck also  reported that the boat launch at Lake Kapowsin is back on.

Safety:   No report.

Federation Report:  No report.

Tournament Report:   Mike Buse reported on his winning technique with top water at the Scootney tournament.  Joe Scheperle established the Potholes hours as 6am - 3pm on Saturday and 6am -1 pm on Sunday.  We will launch in Lind Coulee.

Old Business: The club voted to send a letter to John Davis indicating that unless he paid the $30 he owed from the Roosevelt Federation tournament by the next club meeting that the club would  take a vote to remove him from the club.  Blaine indicated that the Kidís Day at Duck Lake was cancelled due to lack of participation.  Doug made a motion for the club to pitch in $75 for the Potholes cookout, the  motion passed. Club members can bring a side-dish.

New Business:
  The existing club officers were nominated for next year.  Elections are scheduled for September.  Larry Williams was voted in as a regular club member.   Gerald Dunn presented a proposed  Constitution change:  changing the initial new member dues from $30 to $36.  The change can voted upon at the September club meeting.

Klutz nominations: 
Doug Jorgensen nominated Kenny G. for losing his rod overboard saying a fish pulled it in with the bait about 1-foot from the rod tip.  Blaine was nominated for beaching his boat at Scootney.  Paul was nominated for dropping a keeper fish in the water at weigh-in.
