April 8, 2009 Meeting Minutes
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm and adjourned at
8:15 pm. No one claimed the big fish pot. The special guests
at the meeting were
Ken Armiger, Dana Wilson and Lee Jones.
Program Activity: None
Tips, Tactics and Techniques: Shawn McDaniels talked about back seat etiquette. Offer money for gas for the tow rig and boat. Offer to assist with launching the boat. Pack lightly and do not make to much noise. Donít step on seats, help clean up at the end of the day, offer to help trailer the boat and offer to help clean and prep boat for travel. Hoss filled in for Rob Towers and talked about keeping it simple and donít over complicate things. Learn to master new techniques as you go. Rob Towers, Joe Scheperle and Kenny G. are on for May.
Raffle: No Raffle.
Treasurerís Report: Stephanie Strasbaugh reported a balance of $4429.93 with Open trophies still outstanding.
The minutes as read by Jamie Strasbaugh were approved.
Conservation Report: Chris Ferry called and left a message with the Mesebergís at Mardon.
Federation Report: The club went over the Federation meeting topic from March 28th.
Tournament Report: Hoss went over the Sammamish Open and club tournament results. Good job to Aaron Christel for the raffle items. Shawn McDaniels went over his techniques to win the club tournament on Sunday and catching the big 5 lber. Hoss also went over the Roosevelt info for the 25th and 26th. He also brought up that the non-boaters need to help assist the boaters with launching in the morning and that he will not start calling them out until all boats are in the water unless you are late. Hoss brought up that the non carbureted engine will be fully enforced on Lake Whatcom for the June tournament and that we should look into an alternative lake. Larry Williams brought up using the Jamboree for the seventh tournament and the club requested that he look into an alternative prior to using the Jamboree. Larry will look into an alternative for the Whatcom tournament and will post on the website.
Fishing Reports: Kenny and Rea Ganancial took 1st place at the ABA tournament on Lake Washington March 28th.
Safety: Doug Jorgenson pointed out that boaters under the age of 25 are required to have a Washington State boaters education card for 2009. 2010 will be 30 years of age and under. It was also brought up to not run on pad inside of a no wake zone. Make sure that you leave room so when you let off on the gas you have room for the boat to come off pad prior to the no wake zone.

New Business: Emanual talked about and handed out fliers for fishing trip packages to Mexico. If you are interested please contact Emanuel. The 2010 proposed lakes and dates are posted on the WEB.
Klutz nominations: Kenny G. nominated Jaymee S. for putting a crank bait hook through his thumb on Sundays Lake Sammamish club tournament and had to have Larry Williams remove the hook.
