At the April club meeting Eric Woods volunteered to
be the acting Tournament Director until Franco Stone returns.
Lake Washington
Tournament
The next club tournament is on the Lake
Washington on April 28th. The driver's meeting will be at 5:30
am and the blast off at 6:00 am.
Newport Shores
Eric Woods, our acting Tournament Director,
has indicated that the Newport Shores canals on Lake Washington will be
open for fishing during the 4/28/02 club tournament on Lake
Washington. Please use good judgment in Newport Shores, no yelling
or loud noises and bring something so that you are not urinating
directly into the water. Use electric trolling motors only. Remember
the canals are private and if you are asked by a resident to do
something please do so in a courteous manner.

Lake
Sammamish
Results
We had 19 anglers fish the club tournament on
Lake Sammamish on March 31st. The weather was good but the fishing
was extremely tough. Four anglers caught four fish.

page for full results. Congratulations to Frank White for first
place and big fish at 3.30 pounds. Blaine Wesner was second and
Bryan Vance as third. Steve Holets rounded out the list of club members
that caught fish.
Lake Whatcom Dates
The dates for the Lake Whatcom club tournament
had been listed on our Web Site as 6/ 29-30. Upon checking our
permits the dates are actually 6/22-23. Please make sure you mark
these dates on your schedule if you previously marked 6/29-30.

Sammamish Open
Results
Once again the 2002 Lake Sammamish Open was a big success with the club
making over $1100. Many thanks to all of the club members that
worked to make the tournament a big success. Special thanks to Steve
Holets for taking on the job of Tournament Director and Bob Massett
for taking on the job of Sponsor Director. Dennis Brush and Greg
Petroskie won the second straight Hawg Hunters open tournament.
Congratulations to club members Lyle Bowman and John Davis for their 5th
place finish. 31 teams fished the tournament with only 13
teams weighing fish. See the tournament

Kids Day at Duck Lake
Blaine Wesner has reserved the park at
Duck Lake for a kids day on July 20th. He said it's got the picnic
shelters and BBQ pits, softball field and everything we need. Blaine is
going to discuss it at the next club meeting.
