11, 2001 Meeting Minutes
The meeting began at 7:10 PM and
adjourned at 8:30 PM. No one claimed the Big Fish Pot.
The special guests was Richard who joined the club.
Program Activity: No Program Activity.
Raffle: The raffle generated lots of money.
Treasurerís Report: The current balance is $2685. Outstanding bills include $1500 for the Federation state team entry fees.
Minutes: The March meeting minutes as posted on the Internet were accepted.
Banquet Report: No report.
Conservation Report: No report.
Youth Report: Since the club does not have a youth chapter Youth will be removed from the agenda.
Federation Report: Steve Holets reported that the Federation's Scholarship Tournament was being moved permantly to the first week end in October. The September Federation meeting has been moved to conflict with the Vantage club tournament. The 2002 tournament permitting process is being changed. The proposed changes will be available in July. The state has purchased 9 acres on Kapowsin for a launch site. Last year the club volunteered to clean up the launch twice annually if a launch site was built. The Kapowsin clean up would serve as the clubs annual Conservation activity. The Kids Klassic, for ages 4 - 14, will be June 2nd at Coulon Park.
Tournament Report: Kevin Foote reported on the Sammamish Open. The club made approximately $1143 from the Tournament and the Raffle. Another great job by Kevin. The results from the tournament are out on the WEB. Kevin indicated that this would be his last year as the Tournament Director. He also indicated that the club needed new volunteers to work the tournament. Bob Massett suggested that the boaters checklist be placed out on the WEB site.
The Duck Lake tournament is all set for May 19 and 20. The launch will be from the same place as last year.
Steve Holets provided some information on Pend Oreille for the June club tournament. The Outpost Resort's telephone number is either 509 447-1317 or 1517 ( one is a fax ). Steve and Paul Jones will focus the May Program activity on Pend Oreille.
Mary Bridge Donations: No Report.
Safety: Please bring in a copy of your boating safety certificate and to give it to the secretary at the next meeting. These copies will be kept on file with the club.
Old Business: Paul Jones has secured the North end of Coulee Playland for the club for the Jamboree.
New Business: Steve Holets has made motel reservations for the Tri Cities and Banks Federation Qualifiers for the state team. There will be a state team meeting at Tom's house on Wednesday April 25 at 7:00 pm.
Dave Haraway will be moving to Hawaii in
August and will not fish the last Federation Qualifier. Next in line from
the 2000 club standings are Blain Wesner followed by Kevin Foote.
