Dez Ruffin won with 31.45 lbs and Joe Mitchell had the big fish with a 6.9 lb largemouth.   Water was roughly 2 3 feet higher than normal this time of the year with 68 degrees main lake and 64 in crab and in the dunes.  Water clarity was 2 3 feet Saturday and a little less on Sunday due to the algae bloom mixing into the water. Air temps for both Saturday reached 78 with 8 mph winds from the SE Saturday and 8 mph with gusts to around 10 mph out of the west on Sunday.  Saturday the lake saw a lot of power boat traffic on the face of the dunes with little to none on Sunday.  We had 12 Evergreen members join us this year and enjoyed having them fish with us!

The bite wasn't the best this year in my opinion.   Not as many bites compared to previous events for this time of year on the lake . I came over the weekend prior to our club event for some pre fishing and found  only three spots that was holding schools of Largemouth . The pattern was pretty similar to years past . Find deeper water next to the Dunes and it didn't matter if the spot had structure on it or not the fish were there and they were suspended . I also managed to figure how to make the bass "react"  to my football head by fishing it like a spoon Lure was the deal for me .

More importantly ,  I want to take to the time and  give honorable mention to Mr. , Jamie Stasbaugh for his actions of the water Sunday . We were both fishing the same area on Sunday and Jamie gave me permission to fish a Point located near his spot . That particular point gave me 4 of the fish that I brought to the scales on Sunday .

Good Sportsmanship and respectable anglers seems to a be Staple within our club and In the mist of competition these situations get over looked by anglers or at times not even publicly discussed  . NOT THIS TIME !!  My Sundays bag and overall weight was centered around Jamie's Good sportsmanship & generosity so I am extremely grateful & humbled . Thanks brother for helping me secure my second club win "
