Shawn had 2 fish that weighed 6.35 pounds. Ron Ryan finished second and had the big fish, a 4.45 pound largemouth. Only 11 of the 25 anglers that fished were able to catch fish. With 20 of the 30 anglers fishing weighing fish and raining blustery winds on Saturday it was tough fishing. The weather was not very good and the spawn was late because of the cold. We again ran the Kids Casting contest highlited by Makalya White winning the 0 - 6 age group. There was great Saturday weather with 19 limits caught and light rain and over cast on Sunday with 21 limits caught as most anglers fished spawning smallies. The club was so pleased with the fishing on Tapps they scheduled another 2011 Tapps tournament. |http://puyallup-hawg-hunters.com/Tapps_2010_Results.html"> value="FLW Western Divisional|nwcontenders_300.jpg|Chris Ferry and Dez Ruffin placed one and two respectively for Washington State at the FLW Western Divisional at Yellow Tail Lake in Montana in early June. Chris and Dez will represent the club and the state at the 2011 Federation Championship.|"> value="Moses Lake|Moses_2010_Bryan_300.jpg|Bryan Vance won the Moses Lake tournament in late June with 26.82 pounds anchored by a huge 22.6 pound Saturday bag. The 22.6 pounds is new club record for single day. The fishing was tough for numbers but many of the fish caught were quality. Chris was drop shoting various baits on the Kosmos flats. Jaymee was fishing in the dunes throwing weightless Senkos. He brought 4 largemouths and the tournament big fish, a smallie weighing 5.07 pounds to the scales on Saturday. His 19.52 pound Saturday bag produced a two and half pound lead over second place. Under tough weather conditions Kenny was only of two anglers to bring a limit to the scales. Shawn McDaniel, who finished second with 11.69 pounds, was the other angler to limit out.
